Splice Clips - secure connection for SMT Reels
If you use a tool like our manual SMT Splice Tool, this works according to the crimping pliers principle. With the help of the SMT Splice Tool (belt splicing pliers), you make a kind of rivet connection between the "old" and "new" belt on the underside of the belt. On the upper side of the belt, a special adhesive strip (single-splice tape) secures the connection of the cover film.
If the tape is applied correctly, the belt ends are joined in a precise grid. During further processing, the belt with the seam is transported seamlessly into the feed module (SMT belt conveyor or also called feeder) and the film is removed from the belt as before.
